What do we value more: an economic system which privileges profit above all other considerations, or the continued existence of human civilisation as we recognise it?

I walk into a health food store.
There’s an armed city cop on guard duty.
I go for a blood test at a local hospital.
There’s 2 armed guards right by reception.
I live nearby an elementary school.
A police car stays parked in the lot close to the entrance, all day.: and there is
‘security’ also on the inside.

Need I say more?
This is ‘western civ’
C.E. 2026.
Aren’t they proud.

Nobody blinks.
It is normal
*
No.
This is NOT civilisation
But, rather , its polar antithesis.
Civilization has to do with the pacification of the conditions of human existence NOT its wilful militarization.

Let’s dig a mite deeper.
Military spending is over half of federal discretionary spending.
The new plan is to spend $1.5 trillion on War.
Why call it ‘defense’, when they just changed the name of the dept, to reflect its true intent?
The world as a whole spent $2.7 trillion on the military.
Now do the math.

There were 420 domestic mass shootings in 2025.
Ho hum.
Who pays attention?

Overseas, 10 sovereign nations , were bombed.
Over half a dozen illegal coups.
The abduction of a sitting head of state.
Innumerable deep state attempts to destabilise various nations, 365 days a year.

How’s that for the rule of law, and a rules based order?

Step back a bit.
They dropped 7 million tons of bombs on Indo China, during the Viet War.
Murdered over 6 million.
*
And I didn’t even mention Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Nor the mass murder and saturation bombing of Nortb Koreans, not so long ago.
Nor the slaughter in Iraq. Afghanistan. Libya, Panama, Syria. Yugoslavia. Palestine...
You get the picture...?

MLK Jr said it simply aeons ago:
The greatest purveyor of violence in the world...
They killed him for that, and a few other things besides?

But we need to also bring in NATO.
Together, they have a real flair for murder and mayhem.
It’s just one of those things....?
Going back to 1600.
A real cultural tradition?

And then the Sanctions.
Oops.
Nearly forgot.
.
38 million have died owing to illegal sanctions.
Banning food and medicines to the people of a nation in order to punish their rulers.
The aim is to impose such acute mass suffering that they turn against their govt and help us achieve regime change.
It’s a standard playbook, and an egregious Violation of the UN Charter.
Some nations have had 8000 + sanctions imposed on them.
Exactly like the global tariffs that the Supreme Court just struck down as illegal.

Another 6 million perished in the terrible so called ‘war on terror’.
They simply cannot stop making war, on something or other.

That’s the Collective West**, today.
Scraping the bottom of the barrel, industrially, but ready for war with one and all.
Maybe that’s the only industrial,skill they have left?

What a stellar contribution to humanity!!

If these are the good guys, do we really need to look out for the bad?
